Title & Other Descriptions

Derriweit Heights guarantees good title to all items of sale.

All statements by us on an item description, on our website, or made orally or in writing somewhere, are statements of opinion and are not to be relied on as statements of fact. Such statements do not constitute a representation, warranty or assumption of liability by us of any kind.

Prospective buyers should note, and hereby acknowledge, that each item is presented and offered, via website, in storage or presented at the office, 'AS FOUND'.

Prospective buyers should note, and hereby acknowledge, that descriptions of properties are not warranties and that each item sold in "AS IS" condition without any representation or warranty of any kind by Derriweit Heights.

If a prospectus buyer is unable to view and inspect an item in person, they are responsible for requesting/obtaining a condition report and/or additional photographs prior to purchase to determine the articles condition, size and other pertinent information. 

Prospective buyers are solely responsible for carrying out inspections and investigations to satisfy themselves as to the items/s they may be interested in. 

Condition Reports

Condition reports will be available on request.

Condition reports are provided as a courtesy to interested clients to assist performing inspection/s of the item/s.

Condition reports made by Derriweit Heights will be verbal only.

Condition reports are for guidance only.

References to damage or restoration are a guide only. The absence of such a reference does not imply that an item is free from defects or restoration, nor does a reference to particular defects imply the absence of any others.

Prospective buyers are strongly advised to examine personally any property in which they are interested. It is advisable and recommended that you inspect items in person, as your definition of condition may be more exacting than ours. 

We strive to be fair and forthright with our descriptions and conditions reports, however, buyers must understand, and hereby acknowledge, that antique items often show normal signs of use and wear, which may be specified in a condition report.

To you - online only, bank transfer, cash

For you - 15% commission

From you - As agreed between the two parties

Buyers are solely responsible for satisfying themselves concerning the condition and working order of the item and the matters referred to in the item description.

Items can be purchased online only, as we are not permitted, by Macedon Ranges Shire Council, to offer a retail system at our office. 

Any queries and communications relating and regarding purchasing is conducted between the purchaser and Derriweit Heights.

Payment can be made online via our website from your phone device, laptop or computer.

Payments must be made by way of bank telegraph transfer, EFTPOS or cash via email.

Purchased items will only be released to a buyer once funds are cleared through the nominated bank account of Derriweit Heights.

A invoice for items purchased will be issued upon the sale transacton at the point of sale. This will be way of paper invoice or e-invoice.

An item becomes the purchaser's responsibility at the point of sale. 

Items will not be released to the purchaser until all funds have been cleared by our nominated bank.

Small light items can be posted at a cost to you. We use Australia Postage Service. 

Large heavy items must be collected by the Purchaser or nominated person/s at the site in which the item is located.
